Story Wars Live Events
Once a month, we host an in-person event that’s been described as “pure creativity” and “creativity at its best.” We combine writing and live storytelling in a way that encourages creative action by removing all the overthinking, self-judgment, and second-guessing that gets in the way.
Here’s how it works:
Three rounds
Writers participate in all three rounds.
In each round writers are given a prompt and 5 minutes to write a story. We pick the prompts live, so nobody knows what they’ll be asked to create!
Writers share their stories out loud with the group.
Democracy takes over. We vote after each round and tally up votes at the end.
Winners get bragging rights and prizes.
Along the way, we have “superlative” winners for the best hook, the smoothest delivery, who left us wanting more, and sometimes even a surprise award.
